Samsung Galaxy Note II review

After a successful launch of original Galaxy Note last year, the South Korean electronics giant has once again managed to struck a chord with its latest offering in its Note series. Note II has been launched and take our advice it’s extraordinary!

Note II has a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor, making it one of the fastest and biggest processors in the smartphone segment. The new HD Super Amoled 5.5” screen is better than its predecessor. Although its screen is just 0.7” larger than Galaxy SIII, it feels nothing like SIII. One of the most hyped inclusion in this series of device- the S Pen has got better, although its utility is still a big question. While some may consider Note II merely an iterative improvement over original Note, however we at Tech2Check feels its far more fully formed. Handwriting recognition is fast although the experience is still far away from replacing original pen and paper. ‘Air View’ a feature allows you to see previews of,  emails or calendar appointments if you hover the S Pen over an item, or pop out a video and keep it on screen while you are doing something else.

Another interesting feature Note II comes with is, as soon as you take out the stylus, a blank note appears in front of you which could well explain their idea of integrating a pen with a phone. Battery life is exceedingly good and can last well in a small journey. Nothing special with the camera, still feels like its predecessor.

WHY SHOULD YOU BUY GALAXY NOTE II?

Well, you get Android Jelly Bean OS and Google Now which are enough reasons for you to buy this legendary phone. At $299 you are getting not just an extraordinary phone but a fabulous tablet. Or simply if a phone feels small or a tablet too big, take a middle route and buy Galaxy Note.

Tech2Check final verdict: Ultimate, its unlike anything else in the market.

  1. I'm always a fan of android maybe because of the design and comfortability of use. Using my Samsung Galaxy Phone I'v never had any problem with it compared to my Iphone.
