I have surrendered my Philips Mp3 player bought over a year ago to my android smartphone which easily doubles as a media player. If I can download songs directly on my phone over internet without plugging it into computer (ofcourse using a cable) , why would I chose mp3 player? Earlier I used to plug earphones in my ears and zip my philips into my pocket enjoying its snappy size; keeping a phone was not an option then.
Now we are witnessing death of Mp3 players, more and more people are abandoning their music players , instead buying a smartphone. Recent surveys supports this trend. In the technological world , the likes of APPLE, SONY, PHILIPS and others have reported skyfall in sales of Mp3 players. Mp3 player market needs to get a makeover as soon as possible, if it were to stay in the competition as more and more cheaper phones are supporting good media players. Not all like me are following this path, I still know many of them who keep basic phones in their pockets and rock their Mp3 players.
For the time being I am keeping my Mp3 players safe inside a cupboard, hoping that some day my dear mother will switch to digital music instead of her old cassette player which she still adores.
